So, what do you do and how do you do it?

We help Government leaders implement complex and high-visibility projects.  We do this through a series of coaching sessions, workshops, and support services to synchronize budgets, schedules, and outcomes balancing both disciplined practices from the Project Management Institute and innovative practices from Agile approaches.

What has been the most challenging part about transitioning from military service?

Grasping the acquisition, procurement, and business development life cycles.

Tell us how you ended up where you are in your company.

Post-retirement opportunities in academia, small business, and large business.  Decided to put a bow around these experiences and tackle the challenges referenced in the previous question.

In the last 5 years, what is the greatest change you have made in your life that has made you a better person?

Volunteer service to professional associations– elected to Board of Directors of Project Management Institute and Scrum Alliance and further elected to Board Chair for both organizations.  Both provided global perspectives of the project management profession, practices, and challenges.

What is the book you’ve given most as a gift? Or, what are the one or two books that have greatly influenced your life?

First, Break All The Rules—What the World’s Greatest Managers Do Differently, by Marcus Buckingham & Curt Coffman

Honestly, why did you join the Capitol Post family? And what has been the biggest impact so far?

(1) Networking and training opportunities; (2) reasonable office and infrastructure  expenses
